I had a fantastic stay with a super comfy bed and enjoyed the great pub atmosphere. the tea and coffee facilities were perfectly adequate! I'll definitely consider staying again despite minor quirks.

The exit situation in the morning overshadowed our experience, as we had to navigate muddy grass to leave due to a lack of clear communication.

I really enjoyed being just a short 15-minute stroll from Barnard Castle where I took in some stunning views, and the nearby St Nicholas Church had an inviting atmosphere that made my city walks even more enjoyable, with friendly staff and a pleasant ambience adding to the overall charm of the place.

The family room was clean and comfy, but pretty dated. Beds were really nice though, super cozy! The bathroom needed some upgrades, especially the shower pressure—it was quite low. it was a decent stay, just felt like it could use a refresh.

I experienced some noise from a refrigeration unit at night, which slightly disrupted my sleep. Despite those issues, the staff were friendly and made sure I had what I needed. The location was convenient with plenty of on-street parking nearby. I think there is potential for a great stay with some minor adjustments.
